A Note from our Founder
I BELIEVE
When the Pathfinder Institute was formed back in 2015, we had no idea of the fire we would start. Our goal was to offer a deeper dive into mastery of craft as opposed to being another productivity coaching program. We sought to create a practical platform that drew from not only excellence in real estate, but also from other high-stakes areas such as litigation, athletics, medicine, high-tech, venture capital, and the military. We built everything around a competitive mindset committed to being the best of the best. We crafted coaching and mentoring programs, wrote blogs, and studied like madmen (and women). We delivered hundreds of hours of free CE classes, coached, mentored, and logged the responses.
At first, the response was dismissive, even hostile on a couple of occasions. We were actually banned from one nationally-flagged brokerage as they didn't appreciate us "teaching the agents to think for themselves." We heard "It's not focused on income, it won't work" so many times we nearly tossed in the towel. But then something happened. A giant, publicly-traded mortgage company asked us to coach not only their loan officers, but also their top partner agents around the nation. Then another called. And another. We were hired to train the entire sales force for a major title company for a year. Our message was getting through.
Today, we have partnered with dozens of the top real estate brokerages, title companies, home builders, developers, Realtor Boards, and law firms around the U.S. and now have an office in Australia offering our curriculum to the high tech arena. Our message remains the same, and we still strive to work towards what matters most.
As CEO, I am committed to bringing a deeper understanding of excellence to the real estate industries. I still run a team (in Salt Lake City) and still do production. Our instructors are also actively engaged in the areas in which they teach, and it will always be that way - I want to be surrounded by those who can teach AND still perform at the highest levels. I believe our industry is in dire need of a shake up and that it should come from inside (NOT from some outside disruptor). I believe that our growth must be centered around excellence before production, service before technology, and that we can evolve into something more powerful, sustainable, and soulful.
